Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s handwritten note for Abhishek Anil Tiwari, assistant director of upcoming film Pathaan, is making the rounds online. Pathaan marks Shah Rukh’s first film in more than four years, after the actor took a sabbatical following the failure of the 2018 Zero.
Abhishek reposted the handwritten note on Instagram Stories. The note appears to have been written on actor Al Pacino’s authorized biography, as evidenced by the Oscar-winning legend’s name on the page.
The note read, “To Abhishek, thank you for doing Pathaan. Such a great experience for all of us, especially me. You are a pearl my man. The hard work, efficiency and smiles with which you have accomplished such difficult work are greatly appreciated. I also love that you love your drinks man. Good life in the cinema, you will be greatly missed. Love, Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh is slowly reappearing professionally. While Pathan has been in production for a while, official confirmation only came a few weeks ago. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is set to be released on January 25. According to Abhishek Anil Tiwari’s IMDb page, he also worked on Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang and War. Interestingly, he was also the second assistant director on Ek Tha Tiger. It’s long been rumored that Pathaan is set in the same universe as this movie and will feature a cameo from Salman Khan, as Tiger. Shah Rukh himself is said to have filmed a cameo for Tiger 3, which is in production.
Additionally, footage of Shah Rukh, apparently on director Atlee’s Lion (rumored title) sets, has also surfaced online. The actor is expected to start working on director Rajkumar Hirani’s next film immediately after.
