A meteorologist seeks to clarify why he was fired from his job…saying it all hinges on what he did on an extremely NSFW webcam site.
Twice Emmy nominated Eric Adame took to Instagram on Monday to talk about his recent layoff… saying he wanted to share his truth, “rather than letting others control the narrative of my life.”
He says he secretly appeared on an adult webcam website while still employed by Spectrum News NY1…stating he acted out his “compulsive behaviors, at home, performing on camera for other men”.
Erick claims the interactions were “100% consensual”… noting that he didn’t earn any money for the things he did on camera.
He then apologizes to his employers at Spectrum, who eventually found out about his actions… as well as his audience, family, friends and co-workers for any embarrassment he caused.
He clarifies however: “I make no apologies for being openly gay or for being HIV positive.”
He continues… “My psychiatrist calls my actions ‘compulsive behavior’, others would call them reckless, stupid or brazen. I am in no position to dispute any of these descriptions.”
He gives a final message to potential future employers…saying “Please judge me on the hundreds, thousands of hours of television I’m so proud of…not the few minutes of salacious video that will probably soon define me in our click-bait culture.”
Adam recently filed court documents, obtained by The daily beast … asking a judge to force the owners of Unit 4 Media, Ltd. – who owns the site where the screenshots of him came from – to give the names of those who leaked the material.
