LIVEKINDLY Collective Delivers First Plant-Based Menu Item For Popeyes®

NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – LIVEKINDLY Collective, a collection of brands on its way to becoming one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies, today announced its exclusive partnership with Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen to launch the first main course at Herbal restaurant coinciding with the chain’s restaurant opening in London (UK) on the 20the November.

LIVEKINDLY Collective’s innovation team worked closely with Peter Genna, Head of Global Culinary Innovation at Popeyes, to develop the new Creole Red Bean Sandwich. Getting the original recipe from ideation to delivery took a few months of close collaboration.

New Creole Red Bean Sandwich features a 100% plant-based, crispy, breaded patty made with iconic Popeyes red beans and bold Cajun spices with onions, garlic, peppers, then breaded and breaded using a vegan version of Popeyes signature buttermilk coating system. . The galette, certified Halal and registered with the Vegan Society, is baked until hot and crisp and served chilled on a butter-toasted vegan brioche bun with signature Creole red sauce, pickled red onion sweet, lettuce and a thick slice of ripe tomato steak.

The new menu item is Popeyes’ response to a growing demand for herbal products among its customers. Following their UK launch, Popeyes’ intention is to offer the new herbal item as a benchmark offering for its franchisees worldwide, with the following launch in India.
