Jack and Cassaundra Webb, owners of JW’s Place Soul Food and Barbeque on Springs Trails Ridge in the spring, said they pride themselves on offering a menu of completely homemade food based on recipes passed down through the generations of the two family trees.

Led by Executive Chef William Gainey, the owners said JW’s Place offers traditional southern and soulful cuisine that is hard to find in the Spring area, such as cornbread or liver and onions. hot.

Accompaniments include a four cheese mac and cheese, tomato okra, cabbage and smoked beans. The owners have stated that JW’s Place is a restaurant where everyone is welcome.

The owners said their plans for the future included opening the space on Monday evening for wine tastings and launching the “Battle of the Chefs,” an event where chefs from the Houston area could participate. in a cooking competition.
