George worked as a site manager for Boeing in Turkey, Spain and Cocoa each
BREVARD COUNTY â¢ MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – George Albert Marsh, born May 22, 1931 in Bayonne, New Jersey, and died June 21, 2021 in Melbourne, Florida.
George grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Bitburg, Germany, where he met his future wife Katie Schmitt.
After his release, George used his GI Bill to earn his engineering degrees from Newark College of Engineering. His career has led him to come full circle with Radiation Corp. in Melbourne retired from Boeing Services International in Cocoa Beach.
In the meantime, he worked as a site manager for Boeing in Turkey and Spain.
After their retirement, George and Katie traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. George had a keen eye for photography and took many memorable photos.
He was an avid reader, loved music, spent time in the gym, attended plays and concerts, loved pets, and enjoyed gathering with family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of the Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne.
George is predeceased by his parents Frank and Julia Marsh; son Eric; brother Richard and son-in-law Gary Williams. He is survived by his beloved 64-year-old wife Katie and daughter Karen Williams as well as his family in New Jersey and Germany.
A Christian burial mass was held on July 8 at the Ascension Catholic Church.
