Elon’s Healthy Policies for Spring and Summer

In an email announcement to the community on May 3, Dr. Jeff Stein and the Healthy Elon Committee affirmed that current campus protocols and policies for masking, testing, and quarantine/isolation will remain in place until to Wednesday, May 25.

During launch week, May 16-20, normal seating configurations will be used for indoor events; people with medical conditions may wish to wear a mask in these places. Asymptomatic testing in the McCoy Commons (neighborhood of Oaks) will be available during regular hours Monday, May 16 through Thursday, May 19. Asymptomatic testing will be open at McCoy Commons for reduced hours during the summer.

The May 3 announcement includes a number of detailed campus policy changes that will take effect on Thursday, May 26.

Further information

Detailed information is always available on the Healthy Elon website, which provides important health and wellness information for students and employees, including what to do if you feel sick, if your test is positive or if you are in close contact with a positive case. The site also offers answers to frequently asked questions about academics, vaccination, and employee information, as well as answers to questions related to the academic mask policy and other protocols.

The last email update for the academic year will be sent next Wednesday, May 18 at 10:45 a.m., unless additional messaging is warranted before that date.
