Burning question: what’s going on with The Pit Stop in Sterling?

Question: Is the Pit Stop barbecue (restaurant) at Cascades permanently closed? – Matt B.

We understand why you would think so, Matt, as the restaurant is currently closed and dark. But the good news is that they plan to reopen in October after a little “reset”.

The pit stop is located in the Cascades Marketplace shopping center near Home Depot on Cascades Parkway in Sterling. We reached out to the restaurant owners for the scoop. Here’s what they told The Burn.

“We are making some changes to our menu and beautifying the restaurant. We also had to fix some plumbing issues. We plan to reopen on October 6. We will post a video on Monday as well as a banner on the restaurant next week.

So this is it. Yes, they are temporarily closed for some menu adjustments and some necessary work around the restaurant. They also hope to hire additional staff – a very difficult undertaking in the current working climate.

Meanwhile, the original Pit Stop mobile location continues to serve barbecue grills on weekends from its location at Gilbert’s Corner in Aldie.
